"Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 an election for the purpose of electing councilmember Place 1 as pursuant to duly enacted law or ordinance, or any or all of the officers, are to be elected at the election for the City of Winfield, Alabama, will be held, and that all registered and qualified electors of the state, who reside within the corporate limits of Winfield, Alabama, and have resided therein for 30 days or more immediately preceding the date of the election, and who are qualified to vote in the county precinct which embraces and covers that part of the corporate limits of the City of Winfield in which the elector resides, will be authorized to participate in the election.”

The polls will be held at the Winfield Community Center from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. If necessary, a run-off election will be held on: Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Important Dates:

April 11th - April 25, 2023, ending at 5:00pm on the 25th – you may qualify to run for Council Place Number One.

May 14th, 2023, Last Day to establish residency to vote in the municipal special election.

May 16th, 2023, Absentee Ballots can be obtained at City Hall from City Clerk Angie Oliver

June 6th, 2023, Last Day to receive an Absentee application by mail.

June 8th, 2023, Last Day for a voter to apply for a regular absentee ballot by hand.

June 12th, 2023, Emergency Absentee Ballot deadline

June 13th, 2023, Election Day
